The biggest weather news to come out of March was one of the largest diurnal temperature changes ever recorded in Fairbanks on March 28. The temperature rose from 24 below at 5:17 a.m. to 31 above at 3:40 p.m. for an incredible 55-degree temperature rise in just more than 10 hours.
That would be like waking up in South Bend and it's 20 degrees. By the end of the day it is 75. You would go from parka to shorts!
